Albany - His name will not warrant the attention of Texas quarterback Vince Young or Southern Cal running back Reggie Bush.
But former Dougherty High lineman Willie Hall of Middle Tennessee State has added his name to the list of juniors who are heading to the NFL draft according to several media outlets who are tracking underclassmen.
Willie Hall has started 22 straight games at left tackle and he was a second team Sun Belt Conference selection this past season
He signed with the Blue Raiders in 2002 and redshirted that season. He played in eight games with six starts in his freshman season 2003.
A school spokesman says that Willie Hall is believed to be living in Atlanta where he is training for the April NFL draft.
A coaching change at Middle Tennessee State, Rick Stockstill was hired to replace Andy McCollum, is believed to be a big reason for Willie Hall's decision to leave the Blue Raiders with one year of eligibility remaining.
Willie Hall is expected to be a late round draft pick by some analysts who like his size and speed.
Underclassmen have until January 15th to declare for the NFL draft.
