Valdosta - A 16-year-old boy is behind bars, accused of robbing two men at gunpoint.

The men were walking in Vollaton Park on Woodlawn Drive in Valdosta just after midnight when they were approached by two young men carrying a shotgun. The robbers made them lie on the ground, took their wallets and cell phone, and rode off on bicycles.

K-9's helped lead police to one of the suspects. "We got some help from a cell phone company and because of the K-9 and the cell phone that was stolen, we were able to track the offender to a location on East Moore Street, where he was taken into custody," said Capt. Brian Childress.

The juvenile has been charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Police are still looking for the second suspect.
