Albany- The Dougherty County Sheriff's Office is trying to keep you safe on New Year's Eve. Patrol cars will be on the streets looking for impaired drivers.

If you find yourself in need  of a designated driver, the sheriff's office will also be available to help.

Captain Tim Hanington with the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office says, "If they find themselves impaired, simply call our office and we will have a unit come by and pick them up and take them to the house."

If you need a ride on New Year's Eve, the number to call is 431-3259.
