Georgia Water Planning and Policy criticized in audit

December 21, 2005

Albany- Two southwest Georgia water groups are criticized for questionable expenses.

A state audit questions expenses including alcohol, gifts for lawmakers, travel, and parties at the Georgia Water Planning and Policy Center and Flint River Regional Water Council.

Executive Director Doug Wilson tells us the expenses account for a small portion of the organization's budget and that Georgia State University takes issue with the report and has agreed to reimburse the state.
