Thomasville, Georgia-- A fire in Thomasville started at about 8:00 Monday night at 119 Neel Street.

The house was burning heavily by the time firefighters arrived just a few minutes later. They say there was a problem with wiring to a window-mounted heating and air conditioning unit.

Fortunately, nobody was home when the fire started.
