Albany -  An Albany store clerk was injured in a holdup Thursday night.

At the Quick Stop store on Johnson Road, a robber knocked a female clerk into some shelves.

She was taken to the hospital for observation. The man grabbed money from the register and took off.

Police are issuing a warning to other east Albany businesses to be on the lookout and make sure their security cameras work.

"Right now we're looking for a black male, approximately 5'5" to 5'7"  and we ask if anybody knows anything about it to contact the police department.," said Lt. James Williams.

Officers in unmarked cars are patrolling the area.
