Leesburg- Lee County has a new temporary leader and a new county prosecutor. Assistant County Administrator Pamela Thompson will temporarily assume Langford Holbrook's duties.

Holbrook took a job at the University of Georgia. Thompson has been with the county as a planning manager and assistant county administrator for five years.

"I feel very confident that I can keep us moving forward with all of the projects that we're working on," said Pamela Thompson, Interim Lee Co. Administrator.

The position will be advertised and Thompson plans to apply. Commissioners also hired Hugh Morris, Junior as the county prosecutor. Morris is one of three candidates who applied for the job. Interestingly, Morris was hired even though Charles Lamb Junior had offered to do the job for 10 dollars less an hour.
