Boston -- A Thomas County teenager was hit by a car and critically injured this morning. Nineteen-year-old Carlton Anderson was walking on Railroad Avenue in Boston when an Oldsmobile hit him.

"As of nine-o-clock this morning he was in extremely critical condition in an intensive care unit," said Boston Police Chief Chuck Weaver. "He's got multiple head and internals, and broken bones in both legs."

The Oldsmobile was driven by Robert Battis of Whigham. Police say he wasn't charged. The teen is being treated at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville.
