Home invader arrested

December 14, 2005

Thomasville-- A Thomasville man is charged with forcing his way into a home with a gun.

Police say Paris Lenton kicked in the back door at a home on Brooks Lane at two o'clock Wednesday morning, broke down a bedroom door, and held the homeowner at gunpoint.

Police say Lenton was trying to rob the house, but was scared off by a noise. "While the officers were enroute to the call they encountered a black male that fit the description, detained him, brought him back to the residence to do a positive identification," said Capt. Troy Rich of the Thomasville Police Department.

The homeowner wasn't hurt, and nothing was taken. Lenton is charged with aggravated assault and battery with a gun and burglary.
