Cook County - Some South Georgia students brought home the gold from the state Special Olympics.
Vanessa Edwards, Stanley Flowers, and Nakia Johnson represented Cook County High School in the Special Olympics State Horse Show. They all placed in the top three in the Beginner Horsemanship and Trial competitions.
Now they're preparing for the Florida Challenge Horse Show coming up in January.
"First we go through the cones, then we go through the figure eight and we go through some more cones," said Stanley Flowers.
The students take weekly riding lessons at New Freedom Therapeutic Horseback Riding in Dasher.
