Boy mauled by pet dogs

December 9, 2005

Coffee County- A Coffee County boy is recovering in the hospital after being mauled by his family's pet dogs.

Investigators say Angela Harper sent her 7 year old son outside Monday to feed the family's pit bull and rottweiler. A few minutes later she heard him screaming as the dogs were attacking him.

Deputies say the boy was dragged about 150 from the house and suffered bites all over his body. His is in the intensive care unit at a Savannah hospital. Both dogs have been euthanized. No charges have been filed.
