Albany- FEMA is sending money to the city of Albany to help hurricane evacuees get permanent housing. Boyett Village, this former military housing, will be one of several places the city will use to house Katrina victims.

The city is getting $145,000 from FEMA for the project and will get more if needed. Starting this weekend, the city will help Katrina victims move. Eventually, ten families will move into Boyette Village.

Another 40 families will be placed in other Albany neighborhoods.
