Good turnout in early voting

December 05, 2005

Cairo, Georgia-- The race for Cairo's district four city council seat will be decided on Tuesday. Adrian Clark is defending his seat against Jimmy Douglas.

63 people voted early. That's 21 more early ballots than were cast in the general election. "That is 30 percent more than voted absentee or advanced in the general election for November eighth, and eight percent of the total eligible to vote," says elections supervisor, Carolyn Lee.

There are 828 registered voters in district four. 208 of them voted in the race in November.
