Albany residents seek utility bill help

December 1, 2005

Albany--Some South Georgians braved today's cold weather this morning to seek help paying their electric bills. As temperatures hovered in the thirties, some Albanians wanted to be the first in line for grant money to help pay their winter utility bills.

To qualify for assistance, the applicants must make less than 14-thousand, 355 dollars a year. Those interested in participating in the program must go to the Dougherty County Neighborhood Service Center located at 901 North Jackson Street in Albany.
