Two Crisp County men hospitalized by methane fumes

December 1, 2005

Cordele--Two Crisp County men are hospitalized after being overcome by methane fumes. 42-year-old Eddie Doster and his 38-year-old brother Ray Doster were trying to unclog a waste drainage line at Hambone Farms when they passed out from the fumes.

"It was difficult dealing with it for a few minutes, but once we got them oxygen things began to improve rapidly for them," said Crisp County EMS Director David Edwards. Both men were taken to Crisp Regional Hospital, and are now listed in good condition.
