TyTy- A TyTy tradition continued Saturday night with the lighting of their Christmas display. It was the 13th annual lighting of the rose bed Christmas lights in TyTy. Every year the lights are turned on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving and after a small countdown.

It's a chance for the community to gather, listen the McCormick family sing, and enjoy the lights and refreshments.

"It's worth whatever it cost. We always get bragged on for our lights and it really makes the council and gives citizens of TyTy something to be proud of," Keith Beasley, TyTy Mayor.

This year, the Baptist Student Union at ABAC put up all the lights. The display will be on every night from now through the first of the year.
