Electricity back on

November 25, 2005

Thomasville, Georgia--  "The night the lights went out in Georgia" happened to be on Thanksgiving for people in Thomasville.

About 7,000 people in the city lost electricity Thursday evening. Power workers say a lightening arrestor failed, causing three substations to go off-line.

Fortunately, electricity was restored shortly before dinnertime, allowing people to forgo Thanksgiving by candlelight.
