Thomasville, Georgia-- A congregation is going to feed hundreds of people a good Thanksgiving dinner in Thomasville.

Members of the Disciples of Jesus Ministry hope to give up to 500 people get a hot meal on Thursday. They say anybody is invited. The meal starts at 10:30 in the morning and lasts until about 12:30 in the afternoon.

Organizers say it's an volunteer effort through and through. "They're buying their own turkeys and they're cooking them at home, and they're bringing them tonight. We're going to start receiving them tonight, setting up everything. We have deserts, everything, the whole Thanksgiving dinner," says Marion Davis.

This is the first Thanksgiving meal the congregation has put on, although it has adopted seven families each holiday for a decade.

The church is located at 228 Augusta Avenue in Thomasville.
