Albany - WALB News 10 has learned that two people have been arrested and police are looking for a third in those frightening front yard holdups.

Seventeen year old Silas Jackson and 22-year-old Michael Phillips are charged, and police are looking for a 16-year-old as well.

Our sources tell us that Jackson was actually arrested the day after the holdups on a charge of pointing a pistol at another. We are told that Michael Phillips has admitted being in the stolen Lincoln Towncar, but denies any involvement in the robberies.

Jackson and Phillips are charged with theft by receiving stolen property and motor vehicle theft. The 16-year-old is not yet in custody.

Investigators believe these are the three responsible for robberies in the Lake Park subdivision last Friday night.

Two families on Partridge Drive and Flamingo Lane were robbed as they got out of their cars at their homes. The victims say the trio stepped out of the shadows and held guns on them, even on two small children, during the robbery.

Lake Park residents say they are breathing a sigh of relief, now that two people are behind bars.

"That's great news," said Larry Collins. "Any time something like that happens you want justice to be served, and that's great. Hopefully the third will be apprehended as well."

"I'm elated about it because I feel that what they were doing was totally wrong, taking advantage of folks, so I'm glad about it," said Dexter Lanier.

Still, residents say they'll remain vigilant and continue to keep their eyes open and participate neighborhood watch programs.
