November 22, 2005

Albany -- A South Albany church hosts a free Thanksgiving lunch for their community.

The Faith and Prayer Training and Deliverance Ministries invited everyone to the lunch in their sanctuary on West Highland. Volunteers served turkey and dressing to dozens of people from the neighborhood.

Community Team Outreach Director Ava O'Neal Holmes said "We are in the heart and soul of South Albany, where there is a very relevant need to minister to the people, and help the people. And there are people honestly who are walking up and down our street that are hungry."

The Church also handed out clothes to those in need.

Assistant City Manager Kevin Hogencamp one of the volunteers helping make sure people in this community have a Happy Thanksgiving.
