Albany -- Just hours after hosting it's final service, an Albany church was hit by a car. There is a huge hole in the Westview Baptist Church Building wall, where the car crashed.
Police say about five O'clock Monday morning, 18-year-old Willie Bradford, Junior ran off North Magnolia, and hit the church building.
Built in the 1950's, the congregation had just sold the building last week. They held their final service there last night.
Church members said they were stunned when they were called this morning. “It sort of broke my heart to see this car up in this church like this. Having just handled the real estate transaction, it really made me sad to see this,” said Church Member Lula B. Davis.
Bradford was not injured. He was cited for several traffic violations.
