Albany- Dougherty and Lee Counties have their first "Entertainers of the Year."

Sensations Entertainment held their first annual entertainer and model of the year contest at the Albany Municipal Auditorium Sunday night.

The first place winners in the junior and senior categories will get an all expense paid trip to Atlanta to see one of their favorite performers in concert. They chose south Georgia because it's rich in talent.

"We believe a lot of talent is here. I remember they had talent here years ago and there were a lot of interests here, a lost of talent just as well," said Kenneth Donald, Sensations Entertainment President, Talent Scout.

Fifteen people competed in the junior and senior categories. The winners in the junior division were D.S.P. from Moultrie and model Alicia Byrd. The senior winners were Jonathan Davis and model Celestine Griffin of Albany. All the proceeds from the event will go to the southwest Georgia chapter of the American Red Cross, Katrina Relief fund.
