Lee County - A Lee County woman is a suspect in a deadly hit and run.

A man was found dead beside busy U.S. Highway 19 this morning just south of Forrester Parkway.  Troopers say a vehicle hit the man sometime last night, and the driver kept going.

A vehicle part found at the scene was traced to a Ford Explorer. Troopers the Explorer, with heavy front-end damage, was found at a mobile home park on Lover's Lane Road.

Troopers say the woman who owns it called her job at Albany Water, Gas and Light this morning and told them she wouldn't be at work because she wrecked her car last night. While troopers think they're close to making an arrest, they still have no idea who the dead man is. He wasn't carrying any identification and it's possible he was a transient.
