Goff wins player of the week award

Adel - Cook High pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Georgia High School playoff history when the Hornets stung unbeaten Dublin last Friday night.

Cook High quarterback Ty Goff receiving this week's Orthopaedic Associates player of the week Award.

Goff scored two touchdowns and had more than 140 yards of total offense against a Dublin defense that had allowed only 10 points in their first 11 games.

The win sends Cook High into the quarterfinals against unbeaten Greene County.

Ty Goff  said "We knew would could win it. We were not going out there expecting to lose. We just did what we had to do and came away with a win."

Cook High will play at Greene County Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in Greensboro.
