Albany -- An Albany teenager is on trial for murder. 18 year old Kentrell Hightower is charged with the stabbing death of his mother's boyfriend, 23-year old Corey Pickett.
The stabbing happened last August at Hightower's West Lincoln Avenue home.
His attorneys say Hightower stabbed Pickett to protect his mother.
