Albany- It's International Drum Month, and four local bands sure know how to make you stomp your feet and clap your hands.

Lee County, Dougherty and Monroe High School drumlines joined forces with Albany State University to give viewers a look and a listen at what it takes to make those percussion instruments sing.

Band Directors from the three schools enjoyed the chance to play and meet one another. Dr. Reddick from Albany State University says, "Playing with the High School students gives me a chance to meet some future college drummers and learn how they do things."

Dr. Reddick also hopes that everyone can learn to appreciate the role the drum plays in the band.
