Thomasville, Georgia-- A man police describe as a significant street level drug dealer is jailed in Thomasville.

Drug agents arrested Lavone Griffin at his apartment on Forrest Street late Friday night. They also arrested Juan Stringer, Timothy Phillips, Demareo Smith, and Jason Randall.

Agents say they found more than 11 and a half pounds of marijuana and 10 grams of cocaine when they served a search warrant at the apartment. "Due to the foot traffic and vehicular traffic that was coming here, it will take quite a bit of drugs off the street, take down a street level dealer here in town. We're very familiar with him," says drug squad commander, Kevin Lee.

All five people arrested are charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine with intent to distribute. If convicted, they could spend up to 20 years behind bars.
