Albany- Officials from the company held four informational sessions for employees Tuesday.
Although there are only 58 Albany area physicians who are part of the network now, they are in negotiations with 450 others and expect at least half of them to join the network by January 1st.
"People just want to know that they're going to have coverage, and we're here to assure them that through United Healthcare they're not only going to have coverage that's there for them, that's easy to use, and affordable, but just to assure them that we're here in their best interest," says Director of Communications Dominic Washington.
The enrollment period for employees to sign up for United Healthcare plans was originally November 8th, but that has been extended to November 18th at 5:00 PM.
