Albany- The Georgia Department of Labor is hosting the annual Georgia Workforce Conference in Albany, November 7-9th.  The purpose of the conference is to strengthen the state's workforce development system by highlighting the achievements and contributions of Georgia's workforce development professionals.

  The conference is also hoping to focus on Southwest Georgia and other areas of the state which are sometimes overlooked.  Georgia Department of Labor employees, State employees and others are attending pleanary sessions and workshops to learn skills and initiatives that organizers hope will be taken back to their communities.

   Judge Glenda Hatchett, Albany Mayor Willie Adams and many more will be featured speakers. The conference is taking place at different locations including Darton College, Albany State University, Albany Technical College, the Civic Center, and the Hilton Garden Inn.
