Albany -- An East Albany man remains in Intensive Care at a local hospital, after he was shot in the chest early Sunday morning.
Investigators say 21-year-old Michael Morton was shot once in the chest, when he went to investigate a noise in his home. It happened about 2:30 AM Sunday in the 200 block of East Road.
Morton's girlfriend said they were awakened by a noise. When Morton went to investigate, he was shot. Investigators say the gunman came in the back door of the apartment.
No arrests have been made.
