Albany - This week, UGA and Auburn are battling it out on and off the football field. The third annual Georgia-Auburn blood drive started Monday, ahead of the big game in Athens this weekend.

All week, fans can donate blood, get a free t-shirt, show their support and save lives.

"I believe it's the love of football in the south. Being that Auburn is so close, but we're in Georgia. So it brings on a great rivalry," said Justin McCrary, American Red Cross.

Georgia has won all three years, so Auburn fans must come out in big numbers to win. The American Red Cross blood donation center on Dawson Road is open Monday though Wednesday 10:00AM to 7:00PM and Thursday through Saturday 8:00AM to 2:00PM.
