Thomasville, Georgia-- Few people took advantage of early voting in many cities, but that's not the case everywhere.
In Thomasville, 379 advanced voting ballots were returned by the Friday deadline. Election officials say that's a much better turn out than Thomasville's last municipal election. "In 2003, we processed a total of 161 absentee ballots. And this year, we've more than doubled that with the advanced voting," says Chief Deputy Registrar, Lisa Greene.
Thomasville's only contested election is for a city council at large spot. Kevin Glass is challenging incumbent Roy Campbell.
