Rams Run Over Rival

COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) -- Antonio Atkins ran for 160 yards and two touchdowns and Antwan Andrews added 146 yards with three scores to lead Albany State to a 41-to-23 victory over Fort Valley State today.

The victory gave the Golden Rams the Southern Intercollegiate Conference championship.

Atkins scored on runs of 12 and 73 yards and Andrews' touchdowns came on runs of 1, 3 and 31 yards for the Golden Rams, who are 8-and-1 overall and in the S-I-A-C and ranked fourth national in the N-C-A-A Division II poll.

The Wildcats, who fell to 7-and-3 overall and 7-2 in the league, held a 17-14 halftime lead in the 16th Fountain City Classic, played in Columbus.

Tavari Holliday ran for 134 yards on eight carries for Fort Valley.
