Albany- An Albany Cab Company driver is found dead near his car near a wooded area in south Albany. Police say, they're questioning several people in the search for his killer.

Police were called to the 400 block of Wadkins Friday afternoon after a neighbor spotted J.M. King's cab behind her property. Police found the cab in a field with King laying beside the car, he had been stabbed several times. An autopsy was ordered to determine exactly how King died. Friends were shocked and police are asking for the communities help.

"Shocked, I was really devastated, I mean Jake would never harm anybody, he was a minister, he was well liked, he was loved, and it's just really brought a lot of sadness to the family," said Debra Curry, a family friend.

"We're looking for evidence as well as canvassing the area asking for citizens to get involved and asking them to help if they saw anything," said Lt. James Williams, APD.

Neighbors say, they alerted police to King's car Thursday night. Anyone with information about King's murder is asked to call the tip line at 431-3288.
