Tuscaloosa, Al.- The number one ranked Darton women's soccer team has no trouble beating Polk Community College in the district semifinals Friday afternoon 6-0.
The win sends the Lady Cavaliers into Saturday's final against a Shelton State team that Darton has already beaten twice this season.
Annie Polhamus scored the first Darton goal midway through the first half and Naomi Clarke added another goal five minutes later.
Bree Dove's goal seconds left in the first half upped the Lady Cav lead to 3-0 at intermission.
Dove started the second half scoring with her second goal of the match and Tiffany Clarke and Mallory Halbert also scored in the second half for the Darton women.
Darton is now 22-0 this season and a win over Shelton State Saturday will send the Lady Cavaliers to their first ever national junior college tournament which will be held two weeks in Phoenix, Arizona.
Shelton State got an unexpected bye into the district finals.
Hiawassee Community College did not show for the tournament and forfeited their match.
