Albany - 28-year old Darrius Richardson pleaded guilty to statutory rape, enticing a child for indecent purposes and violation of oath of office.
He is under a suspended sentence until a full sentencing hearing can be held. Currently his sentence is 15 years, to serve four in prison and must register as a sex offender. Prosecutors say Richardson had sex with the girl at his apartment while he was a police officer.
Richardson resigned from the Albany Police Department in August just before he was indicted.
