Albany -- Advanced voting began today for Albany City Commission seats, but not many people are taking advantage of the extra time.

There were no voters when we went by the voter registrar's office earlier today, and as of late afternoon, only five people had taken advantage of early voting.

You still have four more days to vote in advance for Wards 2 and 3, between 8:30 and 5 PM each day this week. If you don't know what ward you live in, all you have to do is call.

"Ask what ward they are in, because those lines have changed in the past year, certainly since we've had an election, so they do need to call if they're not sure," said Elections Supervisor Carolyn Hatcher.

The candidates for Ward two are Freddy Grimsley and Dorothy Hubbard. In ward three, Morris Gurr, Chris Pike, Hank Young and Bob Washington are running against Arthur Williams.
