Albany - Dougherty High looked like they were in real trouble down 14-0 to Worth County last Friday night.
Fortunately for the Trojans, senior quarterback Ronnye Nelson didn't panic.
Ronnye Nelson is this week's Orthopaedic Associates player of the week.
He wins the award after completing 13 passes for 323 yards and two touchdowns. The senior also ran for another score as Dougherty rallied for a 41-14 win over the Rams.
Ronnye Nelson said "When we were down 14-0, coach Wright said this is where big players step up and he challenged me. So I just wanted to answer the call and the challenge for my team."
Dougherty closes out their regular season Saturday night against Monroe.
The Trojans will win the region title with a Cairo win Friday night at Crisp County.
