Thomasville, Georgia-- Sometimes, heartwarming stories can be found amid the most heart wrenching ones.

That's the case of a victim of Hurricane Katrina who has relocated to Thomasville from Louisiana.

Lorraine Sherman has been reunited with one of her four dogs after a taxing journey. The New Orleans artist lost her home, several other pets, and worst of all, her son was killed in the hurricane.

Sherman's other son found her Pekingese, Babette, on a web site for missing dogs earlier this month in Ohio. She says the Cincinnati SPCA delivered the dog to her free yesterday. "Oh, I was just so glad to see her. All I could do was pick her up and hug her, and cry," says Sherman.

The military evacuated Sherman from a hospital shortly before Katrina hit. She was sent to five different places before making it to Thomasville to be a son there.
