Albany- Darton College is getting a multi million dollar grant for a one of a kind program in the southeast. The 2.48 million dollar grant will go to develop an online nursing program.

The college will hire four additional nursing faculty members and enroll up to 100 more students in their nursing program.

"Most of the content will be delivered online and their clinical, instead of coming once a week for nine hours, we'll have them come down once a month for a Friday, Saturday, Sunday clinical rotations," said Kim Cribb, Darton College Nursing Chairperson.

The college hopes to enroll more rural students in the nursing field. The program will begin in January of 2007, if it receives national accreditation.
