Worth County- Terry Gray, owner of TPG Tree Services, says the increased cost of diesel has forced him to raise his prices.

A cord and a half of wood used to cost his customers $150, now it's $175. Still, he says heating a home with a fireplace will be less expensive than natural gas or electricity. He's already expecting a big boost in business this winter.

"I'm sure that this year our business this year with the calls starting out this early is probably going to double. So I'm already planning ahead getting more wood over here," Gray says.

Gray says he's already hired extra help to split all the wood he's getting in.
