Tifton- Bill Richardson is the CEO of Tift Regional Hospital. The Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals has named him the hospital CEO of the year.

Richardson was chosen by the panel over leaders of nearly 160 other community hospitals across the state. His co-workers say the honor couldn't have been given to a more deserving person.

"The people of Tift County know that we have a good hospital administrator and now they'll know we have an excellent hospital administrator who has been able to do so many things that a community of this size just cannot accomplish," says hospital medical director, Dr. Raymond Moreno.

"We are so excited that the state now feels the way we do. We've always thought he was such a great man to work for healthcare," says Stacey Beckham, of the hospitals marketing department.

One of the major reasons Richardson was chosen for the honor is for his work to get Cardiac Patient Outcomes Research Team studies done in the state and improving cardiovascular care in the region.
