Thomasville, Georgia--  A second candidate for a city council seat in Thomasville is out of the race.

City elections superintendent Kathleen Vinson says Tyrone Terrell has been disqualified. A hearing was held for the District 2 candidate on Monday.

Vinson says the main issue in question was whether Terrell had been a resident of Thomasville for at least 12 months as state law mandates. "It was determined that he did not meet the residency requirement, so he will not be a candidate for this election. However, we are still having an election in the City of Thomasville. Election day is November eighth," says Vinson.

Terrell had been a voter in DeKalb County until registering in Thomasville the day before qualifying in September. Former candidate Jeremiah Horne was disqualified last week. His residency was also the reason.
