Taylor signs to be removed

October 13, 2005

Albany-- The father of gubernatorial candidate Mark Taylor was responsible for handing out campaign signs that are now in violation of city law.

These signs are sprinkled around the city, but the city's sign ordinance doesn't allow campaign signs to be put up until 60 days before the election, which isn't until next year.

A spokesperson from Mark Taylor's office said they didn't know where the signs came from but would make sure they came down.

When we asked some business owners displaying the signs, they said Taylor's father, Fred, asked them to put up the signs. Code enforcement officials told us they talked to Fred Taylor today, and he agreed to remove the signs within a week.
