Albany -- Dougherty County Police are on the lookout for guns that have stolen in nearly a dozen home burglaries in a four county area of Southwest Georgia.

Monday Dougherty County Police arrested Glenn Kirkland, and charged him with burglary and forgery. Investigators found this .357 Magnum in the truck Kirkland was driving. It was stolen in a home burglary in Lee County just hours before Kirkland was arrested.

Dougherty County and Albany Police, Lee County, Worth County, and Mitchell County Sheriff's believe Kirkland has been stealing guns in several burglaries, and selling them. Lt. Steve Mitchum said "What concerns us is these guns being out on the streets. We have only located two of them, that have been in pawn shops here in Dougherty County."

Dougherty County Police ask that if you have any information about Kirkland or any one else selling guns, to call your county law enforcement agency.
