A South Georgia woman is dead and her father is in serious condition after a brutal stabbing in Valdosta.

Police were called to this home on J L Lowmax Drive around 7:30.

A 36-year-old woman and her 64-year-old father had both been stabbed several times in the chest.

Investigators arrested 59-year-old Robert Gordon of Quitman.

They say he was the woman's ex-boyfriend. They think the stabbings were the result of a domestic dispute.

They intially charged Gordon with two counts of aggravated assault.

Now that his ex-girlfriend has died, they expect to upgrade one of those charges to murder.
