Americus -- A South Georgia man, convicted on federal drug charges, faces a possible life sentence.
Avery Hardy was found guilty this week of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. In February, Hardy fled Sumter County after an investigation and raid turned up a large amount of crack.
He was later arrested in Boston, Massachusetts, and returned to Georgia. Hardy faces a life sentence as a career criminal.
