Drug task force seeks Yopp and McLaurin

News Release- South Central Drug Task Force

Fitzgerald-  The South Central Drug Task Force is asking for help in locating two fugitives from Fitzgerald, Georgia.

Willie Jacob Yopp and Lorenzo Devon McLaurin have been attempting to elude capture since September 8th. Both men are wanted in connection to a drug seizure from 309 N. Thomas Street in Fitzgerald in which the SCDTF seized 120 bags of suspected powder cocaine and two firearms.

Both Yopp and McLaurin have been charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Controlled Substances within 1000 feet of School Property, Possession of Firearms by Convicted Felon, Possession of Firearms within 1000 feet of School Property, Possession of Firearms with Altered Identification Marks, and Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime.

Yopp has also faces charges of parole and probation violation. Yopp is described as 29 yr old black male that is 6'00 in height and weighs 160 lbs.

McLaurin is described as a 33 yr old black male that is 5'10 in height and weighs 213 lbs. Anybody with information on these fugitives is asked to contact the South Central Drug Task Force at (229) 424-0000 or the Fitzgerald Police Department at (229) 426-5000.
