Valdosta - A South Georgia business raises big bucks for the American Red Cross.
Employees at Fresh Beginnings in Valdosta collected $10,000 for the Red Cross. The company then doubled their total and gave the organization a check for $30,000 Monday.
"The Red Cross is doing a lot of good things for all the hurricane victims, and it just seemed like the best avenue for making sure our dollars that came out of our employees' pockets were going to truly help the individuals that were victims of the storms," said Jennifer Powell.
The Valdosta Chapter of the American Red Cross will send the money to the national fund to be used for hurricane relief along the Gulf Coast.
