Adel - While nothing happened overnight in Adel, migrant workers there have recently been targeted.

There were five home invasions in Adel between August 26th and September 24th. All of the crimes occurred on the southwest side of town.

In one of the robberies a man was hit in the head with a baseball bat, like some of last night's victims. Investigators say the suspects descriptions are similar in all of the cases.

"The perpetrators are all described as young, black males in groups of as many as six," said Chief Bill Butler. "These are terrible crimes in that the victims are very vulnerable, they are somewhat afraid of the police, many of them are illegal aliens and they can't communicate in English."

No arrests have been made in any of the home invasions, but Chief Butler says they're working several leads.
